I avoid soft drinks. Instead I prefer fresh juices. Is that a good thing?

Fructose will not stimulate insulin secretion but excess of it will be turned into fat in your liver and stored as fat in your body. There is also new research about "too much fructose lowering metabolism". You need to know how much carbohydrate (in this case fruits) you should be taking daily and per meal.

There is also too much oxidization of the nutrients and anti-oxidants of fruits when they are expose to air. Not good news when you want the "freshness" of fruits.

Moreover, juicing of fruits takes the fiber content out. This is the healthy content for your GI tract and bowel movement. This taking of the fiber also makes the absorption of fructose much faster.

Just chew your fruits.
